As part of the Federal Government’s initiative to counteract SMS identity fraud, all SenderIDs must now be registered. Any SMS using an unregistered SenderID will be blocked by Australian carriers from 1 July 2026.

SenderID allows recipients to identify messages as originating from your school, as opposed to messages appearing to come from what might be an unknown mobile number.

To continue to use this facility, senders need to register their SenderID with the Australian Communication and Media Authority (ACMA). Further information can be found here at the ACMA website.

To help our customers, we have organised a process to register your SenderID on your behalf.

What do you need to do?

• Complete this form by 15 June 2026. Xuno will register the Sender ID on your behalf (form will open in separate window)
• Once the application for registration has been submitted, the school’s Authorised Business Representative will receive an email asking them to log in to the ACMA website to approve the registration
• Schools can see their Sender ID in Xuno by going to Options > Software Settings > Messaging & SMS. The Sender ID is the ‘SMS no reply name’.
